The school Production of ‘Alice’ was the main focus last half term, with many of our boarding community involved in acting, singing and the backstage management. Many people put a lot of hard work into this production and the result was wonderful.
This is what some of the boarders had to say about their experience of being involved:
‘It is a lot of commitment and hard work but I loved how everything came together in the end’ – Emily
‘I really enjoyed singing in the pit chorus and the chance to miss some lessons!’ – Elizabeth
‘I enjoyed the community spirit the production brought’ – Maya
‘I loved the madness of it all!’ – Katie
‘I loved how fun my character was to portray and how I was able to make people laugh and enjoy the show.’ – Euan
One of the inter house boarding activities this term was a ‘Bake Off’, all the students like to have a go at this and especially a taste!
It is tradition in Scarborough for children to have skipping races on the beach on pancake day, this tradition has been going for over 100 years. Although our boarders didn’t make it to the beach the races at school still went ahead, followed by many pancakes being cooked and eaten in the boarding houses during the evening.
